Lord Joel rode his horse in the long formation of Bretonnian Knights expecting reports of enemy sightings at any moment. The Bretonnian formation entered a large meadow with a burned out inn to the left. The morning mist vanished slowly revealing a Dark Elf army lying in wait for the Bretonnians. With screams of delight the Dark Elven host fell upon the Bretonnians before Lord Joel could muster his units together in some semblance of an attack. Peasants were cut to pieces by cold ones ridden by fearsome dread knights. The glowing red eyes of a sorceress brought doom on knights while repeater crossbows thumped loudly sending bolts into the Bretonnian knights marching in column. A Hydra flung knights about as if they were toys. As it gobbled up a poor knight errant the mighty Grail Knights led by Sir Gregory cut the monster to pieces. Knowing that the battle was already lost Lord Joel hastened to a better position on the battlefield for a second effort later. Perhaps the High Elves his peasant bowmen had sighted earlier would be willing to join forces for a battle.
The High Elves vs. the Ogres 1000 pts (Ogre victory, unknown)
Lord Grig of the High Elves advanced quickly trying to locate the Dark Elves. If anyone could frustrate the Khaine worshippers it would be the forces of Ulthaun. Marching in the dense woods the High Elves did not expect to meet any enemy forces other than Lord Hannibal himself. The great pine trees burst and fell over as ogres muscled their large girth into the Ulthaun host. Lord Grig lost 100 good elves in minutes. Retreating to preserve his army Lord Grig met with a grubby peasant scout riding a draft horse. The man reeked of vinegar and drink but he had an offer from Lord Joel to join forces and take out the Dark Elves. He sent the scout away with an agreement to join forces but warned the scout to tell Lord Joel to expect Ogres as an enemy too.
Bretonnians and the High Elves vs. the Ogres and Dark Elves 3000 pts (Brets and HE massacre the DE and Ogres)
Lord Grig and Lord Joel arrayed their forces in a magnificent host. Opposite of their forces the Dark Elves led by the mysterious Malus and his Sorceress concubines gathered the Ogres into formations near their elite Dark Elven forces. With the sound of drums from the Bretonnian ranks the forces of good advanced. The Grail Knights of Blackadder avenged the death of a High Elven unit of Illyrian Reavers by decimating a unit of Dread knights and a sorceress. Lord Joel's battle standard bearer Sir Hugh led a unit of Knights of the Realm on a valiant charge that burst through the Ogres ranks like a hot knife through butter. The Knights Errant ran down the leftovers of the fearsome High Elven Swordmasters killing a With Elf Hag. Malus ran off some Pegasus knights but found himself caught up in a trivial engagement away from the thickest of the fighting. The mighty war hydra protested loudly as it retreated from the field with the Dark Elven forces and Ogres. It had yet to feed on an Knights or High Elves. The Bretonnian and High Elven host handily routed the enemy from the battlefield. Unfortunately it was very unlikely that grievous damage was done to either the Dark Elves or the Ogres in the long term. Lord Joel and Lord Grig saluted each other as their armies broke off to advance further into Blood Grove. Sir Rincewind II leaned over in his saddle and asked Lord Joel, "I thought we were going to fight the High Elves my Lord?" Lord Joel shook his head and laughed, "we still might. This Blood grove is full of surprises and the Brigand King is highest among them. Worry about Lord Hannibal for now," Lord Joel finished.
Wood Elves vs. the Lizardmen 1000 pts (WE Solid Victory)
Lord Hannibal deployed his forces against the ancient Lizardmen. He did not know what to expect but he was determined to be prepared for anything. The battle commenced with many surprises. The Treeman fell to the fire magic of the Lizardmen spells and blade. Skinks ran about firing poison darts while saurus blocks of infantry advanced. The battle raged until Lord Hannibal finally gained the advantage and ran the Lizardmen off the field of battle. Trees still burned as the lizardmen retreated. They would return Lord Hannibal knew.
Wood Elves vs. the Dwarves 1500 pts (WE Solid Victory)
The Dwarven gunners deployed prepping their weapons for a long battle. They spotted the fire to their front so they cautiously chose a good site for a battle. Lord Hannibal's Wood Elves charged out of the woods with blinding speed. Hundreds of arrows poured down on the Dwarven Slayers steadily thinning their ranks. A volley from the Dwarven thunderers blasted through the Dryads and Branchwraith Lord Hannibal had chosen to lead the charging forces. Trees tore apart as lead and shot cut great swathes of destruction everwhere in Blood Grove. The battle ended with the Dwarven forces retreating. The Runesmith hammered in another grudge in his book of grudges. The Wood Elves would pay for such a dishonorable ambush.

Dark Elves are crazy evil! At 1500 points they had two fear causing units, Malus Darkblade, a Sorceress (a magic phase), a terror causing unit (the Hydra), and tons of shooting from their repeating crossbows. My Brets were torn to pieces. Mostly because my list was quite pedestrian at 1500 points. My Grail Knights did well though.
